Bancroft area Bonanza! – Bancroft Mineral Museum, Princess Sodalite Rock Farm & Quarry and the CN Rock Pile
July 23 @ 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Central Canadian Federation of Mineralogical Societies is planning a small ‘Family Friendly” trip to the Bancroft Mineral Museum, Princess Sodalite Rock Farm & Quarry and the CN Rock Pile.
Attendees must be 8years old or older
Limit of 24 – 28 CCFMS Members
Cost $20 per member
The Bancroft Museum provides a rare opportunity to be guided to some of the best and unique mineral specimens to be found in eastern Ontario.
We are very excited as we have permission from the owner of Princess Sodalite to visit the old quarry to collect. Club member, Alf Newnham will take us into the quarry. This is a rare opportunity to collect in the ‘old quarry’ and to get dirty.
