Field Trips
Field trips introduce rockhounding—the hands-on exploration and collecting of rocks, minerals, and fossils in their natural settings. Organized by the CCFMS and its affiliated clubs, these outings offer a fun, educational way for all ages to learn, explore new places, and experience the thrill of real discoveries.

Lapidary
Lapidary is the art of working stones, minerals, gems, and fossils to enhance their natural beauty through cutting, shaping, polishing, and setting. It encompasses both the creative craftsmanship of jewelry and art, and the people and workshops where this work is carried out.

Kids Programs
Kids activities spark curiosity and excitement about rocks, minerals, and fossils through fun, hands-on learning for children and youth of all ages. By engaging young people and their families, these activities help build the next generation of geoscientists while supporting school learning and the future growth of rock and mineral clubs.
