This year’s meetings included:

-  Members sharing their treasurers from dealers or from a favourite beach
- Mark N. shared some Bancroft finds using ultraviolet lights
-  A silent auction was held with newer members being able to bring home some lovely treasures.
- Mark S. is an artisan in Jade. He shared his passion with us from the geology and types of jade, its history and the techniques and tools of jade carving. He also brought some stunning examples of his work.
- Adam W.  gave an interesting update on all the work the Lions Club has accomplished at the Rock Glen Falls and Conservation Region and Museum that re-opened on May 24. Display from the Paleolithic to the Archiac have been renewed and refreshed, and this is a new First Nations display.
- Miriam K. shared her collection of ancient arrowheads and scrapers/tools.
- Noel M. shared a beautiful diorama from a 7 year old girl who correctly identified some rocks and made them into a displays.
- Jonathon C. spoke on “The Colourful Crumbly World of Uranium Minerals”. It was an enjoyable and scientific discussion. He returned again and spoke about the geology of the Bancroft area and the minerals that are found in the area. This talk was then followed by an amazing photo-show of arsenic minerals.
- A discussion was held regarding a sales table at our meetings or perhaps online with a small percentage of member sales being returned to the club. All agreed that it was a great idea. Investigation continues to work out plans for a way for members to sell their rocks, gems, creations, and equipment they no longer use.
