CCFMS Member Clubs

Manitoba-Ontario-Quebec

There are many mineralogical clubs in central Canada that meet regularly to collect rocks and fossils, learn about the earth sciences, and do lapidary arts and crafts. If you are interested in rocks and minerals and are interested in joining a club or meeting other rockhounds, then contact a club near you. Kids are welcome but may have problems going on field trips due to legal issues. Each club can tell you what field trips have restrictions.

As an example, there are a number clubs that are active in the Greater Toronto Area. Each club has its own "flavour", so visit a few before deciding which one to join. Some people join the club nearest to the place they live or work; other people join the club that seems to be more active in the area that interests them. You can also visit club websites and Facebook pages - that, too, gives you an idea of a club?s focus and activities.

Many rockhounds belong to more than one club. Every club welcomes visitors. Don't feel that you need to make a commitment before you come and visit for a few times.

If you already have a club, or are thinking of forming a club, and would like to enjoy the benefits of being a CCFMS affiliated club, please visit our page on How to Become a Member Club .

If you wish to request any changes to your club listing, please contact the Executive of the CCFMS.
